Merellinen Oulu ry is here to celebrate and keep alive Oulu’s rich maritime traditions. We’re a non-profit association made up of people who care about seafaring and want to support Oulu’s maritime culture. Our members include maritime professionals, boating enthusiasts, and everyday landlubbers — all brought together by a shared love for showing off Oulu’s seaside spirit.
Everyone with an interest in seafaring, maritime life, or maritime heritage is welcome to join in — and we’re especially happy to have maritime professionals bring their knowledge and experience into the mix. Whether you work at sea, have been around boats for years, or are just getting your sea legs, we’d be happy to have you with us. There’s room for everyone to take part in a way that suits their own skills, time, and resources. Whatever your special know-how might be, there’s a good chance it can be put to use in the association’s activities — and along the way, you might even learn something new.
The membership fee is just €40 per year. As a member, you can take part in the association’s activities and use your voting right at the association’s meeting.
By completing and submitting the attached form, you express your interest in becoming a member of the association. We will contact you with further information, and your application will be considered at the next meeting of the Board. Once the Board has approved your membership application, you will be notified accordingly and provided with instructions for paying the membership fee.
